2015 SPRING STRIPED BASS TOURNAMENT FOR A GREAT CAUSE 

While most striper tournaments occur in the fall Suffolk Marine Anglers has been holding their competition in the month of June for last six years. The excitement begins with a shotgun start 6:00 am on Sunday, June 7th from the Babylon Village Dock. Boundaries are from Moriches inlet to East Rockaway (Debs) inlet and participants must weigh their catch in by 3:30pm. Last year fisherman’s competed for nearly $12,000 dollars in prize money. Once again money will be raised for Hospice Care Network, a great nonprofit close to many of the anglers' hearts.

Van Staal  will be sponsoring A new catch and release category The winner will receive a Van Staal reel for the largest in length released striped bass. There are also many other chances to cash in including a slot fish category, Calcuta blue fish category and a mystery fish.

The captains meeting will be held at Miller’s Ale House in Deer Park at Thursday June 4th 7:30pm. Thousands of dollars in prizes from local and national sponsors will be raffled off at the meeting.
