Shop regulars Charlie Cannizaro and Dicky Orlandi called in to tell us that they fished on the "Redhead" along with Capt.Steve Gordan out of the Palm Beach Inlet the crew had a great day with 3 Wahoos to 40lbs. 1 Tarpon around 125lbs which Dicky fought for 1 1/2 hrs. and a bycatch Grouper just over 20lbs.
Fluke remains solid at the Ocean Beach Tower in the 75'-90' range using local spearing and local squid. Some local wrecks are producing good catches of Seabass and Ling.
Reports coming in from the bay fisherman that Bluefish to 4lbs. are chasing the baitfish, customer Tim O'brien had 6 blues on ava jigs.Snappers are plentyful at all the local docks along with decent size blue claw crabs.
This Saturday August 27th is the Babylon Tuna Club Snapper Derby it begins at 9am at the Babylon Village Dock for more info call the shop @669-2222
