SPRING STRIPED BASS TOURNAMENT FOR A GREAT CAUSE

While most striper tournaments occur in the fall Suffolk Marine Anglers has been holding their competition in the month of June for last seven years. The excitement begins with a shotgun start 6:00 am on Sunday June 11h 2017 from the Babylon Village Dock. Boundaries are from Moriches inlet to East Rockaway (Debs) inlet and participants must weigh their catch in by 3:30pm. Last year fisherman’s competed for nearly $20,000 dollars in prize money. Once again money will be raised for Hospice Care Network, a great non profit close to many of the anglers hearts.

There will also be a catch and release category The winner will receive a prize for the largest in length released striped bass. There are also many other chances to cash in, including a slot fish category, Calcuta blue fish category and a mystery fish.

The captains meeting will be held at Miller’s Ale House in Deer Park at Thursday June 8th 7:30pm.
