 Photo left to right (Mayor Ralph Scordino, Deputy Mayor Kevin Muldowney, Mike Gilberto, Will Tregarthen, Matt Ervolino, Anthony Puccio) | Despite southeast winds, fog and torrential downpours the 2016 Suffolk Marine Anglers striped bass tournament was a success. 52 Boats competed in this year's tournament raising thousands for Hospice Car Network. 1st place went to Mike Gilberto with a 38.50 lbs Bass fishing on the "No Bananas". 2nd place was Will Tregarthen fishing on the "Underdog" topping the scale at 37.45 lbs. 3rd place was weighed in by Matt Ervolino aboard the "Bass Hole" at 36.75 Pounds. The Bluefish category went to Anthony Puccio fishing out of the "Salty Boy" the chopper tipped the scale at 14.2 lbs. |
